The Koinonia House
At Lebenshaus Koinonia, children and adolescents live under one roof—just like in a big family. Everyone brings their own story with them, but together we shape our daily lives, support one another, and learn from each other.
As a child and youth welfare facility licensed under Section 45 of SGB VIII, we offer residential educational assistance in accordance with Sections 27 and 34 of SGB VIII and support young people in their individual development.

Tour of our House
Our large, cozy kitchen with a dining area is the heart of the house.
This is a place where people often meet and spend time together; plus, in the winter, the wood-burning stove creates a cozy atmosphere for relaxing get-togethers.
Everyone loves this place especially because delicious meals are always being prepared here.
One highlight is the pizza oven, which is used to bake not only pizza but also cakes and other treats.
We gather around our large dining table 3–4 times a day for meals or snacks together.
Along with the kitchen, the living area is a place for community and togetherness. We enjoy gathering here to play, talk, or sing.
The sofa area on the upper floor offers additional space for relaxation or socializing.
Custom-designed areas provide children of various ages with spaces for play and creativity.
In our creative space, there are many ways to get creative. Sewing, using a plotter, crafting, gluing—the kids love this place!
